Hey.  Say there are two sports teams.

One of them goes 16-0 and wins the championship.

The other goes 1-15.

 

The next season the first team goes 8-8

The next season the secon team goes 8-8.

 

For the first team... that season was a huge failure right?  MONSERTOUS negative backtracking?

The second team... that season was a huge success right?  They're a lot better now.

 

PS3 is the PS2's disastersous second season.

X360 is the Xbox's more successful season.

 

 

 

Like i said before, its easy to outsell your predecessor if your predecessor sold only 25 million. Why 360 cant outsell PS2? Oh that's right. PS2 sold a lot better than 360's predecessor.

 

Oh and Sony lost 3 billion on Ps3 and Microsoft lost 6 billion on 360. So i guess 360 is 2 TIMES BIGGER FAILURE

I agree it's easier to outsell your predecessor if it outsold 25 million.

The fact that it's easier is irrelevent.

As products the PS3 and 360 have very different criteria for success and failure. 

Where did i argue the 360 wasn't a failure in terms of making profit?

It was however a success in expanding Microsofts Marketshare.

The PS3 was a failure in both... and the bigger failure of the two.

The big success of course being the Wii.

Just how last generation the PS2 was the big success, the Xbox was a success/failure split and the Gamecube was a big failure.

It's easy to understand if your not a fanboy.
