1) Like I was attacked? 2) I really haven't attacked or insulted as much as you claim 3) Not right? Like about what? 4) Is that so? How can you claim these people never played before? Have you polled them? The Wii can't match the PS3's graphics, speed, online..Not to mention the PS3 has MD so if Sony wanted to they could make the PS3 do anything the Wii can. So no, there is nothing the Wii can do the PS3 can't. To match the Wii's MD powers all sony needs is a different controller as the PS3 can already detect MD. 5) Half of those people? Grabbing at straws here. And the controls are up to the person, I doubt the big N will get half of Sony's market. They are not even trying to. 6) Nice try slick. Where did I say that? Ooooohhhh, Thats right...I didn't.....Hmmmm. But I love to break it to you, but MD isn't best for all game either....

Learn about the sixaxis controller. There is more to than teh dual analog. |
1) There have been lots of attacks going on in this thread, i'm not going to dig them up lets just let it slide.
2) Agreed
3) You want some proper refuting of arguments then see below -
4) Firstly, why can't the Wii match PS3's online? What have you seen to say that it can't and wont?
Secondly, the Wii CAN do things the PS3 can't. Number One thing is the pointer, PS3 cannot put a pointer on the screen, and that is something the Wii has and only the Wii has, yeah? Secondly, although both the SIXAXIS and Wii Remote have motion detection they are fundamentally different. The SIXAXIS motion is quite frankly a 'tacked on' feature. Motion detection like it is in the SIXAXIS has been around and available for a LONG time, the reason the Wii is different and why the PS3 can't do games like the Wii is because the controlled is so fundamentally different. How you ask? Because they completely changed the way that people use it. Can you imagine trying to play Wii Sports tennis with a SIXAXIS? Sure, you probably could but who wants to hold a banana shaped tennis raquet?
This is where the ultimate difference lies, simply in the funamental way that humans interface with the technology. If Sony were to release a 'Remote' like device that functioned in very much the same way as the Wii Remote it would not be at all in the same class as the Wii Remote. The Wii Remote is REQUIRED for all Wii functionality with the option of normal controller use also, Nintendo COULD have released the Wii Remote as an upgrade to the GameCube, but they decided it was a better idea to re-release the GameCube with a different name and new fundamental differences.
That's all I have to say on that, please don't take it as bashing you, I'm not I'm just refuting your arguments.
And one opinion towards your current 'stance' on the consoles. Making a 'pledge' not to buy something because it's the 'weakest' is pretty rediculous, and if your motivation behind this is because the PS2 had long load times and was the weakest console then I think your motivation for making this 'pledge' against the Wii is all wrong.
Personally dispite the physical power of the hardware in the PS2 i still think that was the 'strongest' console... take that as you will.
