This is just my opinion, but I don't think the Republicans and conservatives are aware or they seem to ignore quite a few things in our society that can keep lower class citizens from really being able to elevate their standings in our society, so it paints a picture of conservatives and Republicans being much more sympathetic to the richer citizens while largely appearing to be ambivalent to the plight of the poorer citizens. Their telling poor people to work harder and they will improve their lot in life just doesn't work as many citizens in our society work at very grueling and inhumane jobs in very poor conditions, and their bosses have a vested interest many times in keeping them from being able to advance up the ladder.

When religion is thrown into the formula it becomes, "you peons better have an unquestioning faith in Jesus, because your life's aren't ever going to get much better than they are in this world.  While we're partying in Monaco and at the Playboy Mansion, you had better be worshipping Jesus.  We ain't going to help you out, but HE said he would in that old book that we rich don't need anymore because we have the moolah, brother."

The Democrats that many people refer to as socialistists, at least they have some idea in their heads that the plight of poorer people in our societiy should be improved and that bosses, etc, aren't really interested in doing it, so some government programs should be established to help out certain people. They are criticized for establishing these programs by the bigwigs that don't give a ____ if their workers ever improve their lives or not as long as they are at work everyday to break their backs and risk their health, so the bosses can become wealthier.

One of my college philosophy professors said that he thought Marx would endorse government more as it was in the US than the way it functioned in the USSR.

See that's untrue.

The difference between the republicans and conservatives basically boils down to this.

A conservative sees someone on the street who's poor and thinks "People should do something."

The liberal sees someone on the street and thinks "The government should do something."

Conservatives donate more of their time and money to charity then liberals.

Also... if your proffesor believes that.  I gotta think he's never read the communist manifesto... One could argue he wouldn't of preached such extreme needs if he knew that we would get to where we are today where working people are treated well and can be made rich... but it's an arguement that can be made either way and in reality the dictatorship in russia is EXACTLY what he suggested.  A brutal brainwashing dictatorship that generations down the line would change the way people think naturaly.  At that point said government was suppose to disapear.

Conservatives are just more willing to give up their own money to help the poor.  While liberals are more willing to give up other peoples money... or if they are in the effected tax bracket, make sure other people are giving up as much as they do so they don't fall behind others because of their own good deeds.

I saw Bush give billions of dollars to wealthy bankers on Wal~Street so that they could send their top execs on vacations to Monaco.  He didn't spend one dollar on me or any of the other poor folks in this country facing bankruptcy or forclosure.  Also, Obama has tried to find plans to help the poor in this country.

Now, the greedy folks making $250,000.00 or more a year are all likehe's trying to redistribute the wealth so that poor people will have more than they do.  "Gee golly willickers, they might even be as wealthy as we are someday.  We can't have that.  Down with Obama."  The funniest thing though is when these people complain about how the people that Obama is trying to help out don't even pay taxes.  I was in the income bracket of the people that Obama is trying to help out working a job making under $20,000 a year putting myself through the kind of heck that people that get to sit at little desks with their feet up all day never have to pay, and I had to pay taxes.

I was making $15,000.00 a year and had to pay $3,000.00 a year in taxes.  Now some of these small business owners making $250,000.00 a year while their employers do the hard work should have to pay more in proportion.  If I'm making $15,000.00 a year and paying $3,000.00 a year in taxes, while someone else is making $250,000 a year, if they pay $100,000.00 a year in taxes, they are still going to have $150,000.00 a year while I only have $12,000.00.

Who do you think is going to be hurt more by high gas prices and high health care bills?  The fellow with $150,000.00 left over or the fellow with $12,000.00 left over whose company health insurance won't even pay for a colonoscopy and who has to drive 70 miles round trip to work each day because there is no work in the county where he lives?

Bush and the Congress Democrats.

The Congress Republicans were against the bailout.

Your problems should be registered with Nancy Pelosi.

As for the rest of your post.  It's completly irrelevent.

Also those people making more money you complain about?  They are by and large Democrats as well.

Democrats make more on average then Republicans do, and donate less of their income to charity.

Once again... the problem you have is with the Democrats who say one thing, then do another.

"Democrats now control the majority of the nation's wealthiest congressional jurisdictions. More than half of the wealthiest households are concentrated in the 18 states where Democrats control both Senate seats.  This new political demography holds true in the House of Representatives, where the leadership of each party hails from different worlds. Nancy Pelosi, Democratic leader of the House of Representatives, represents one of America's wealthiest regions. Her San Francisco district has more than 43,700 high-end households. Fewer than 7,000 households in the western Ohio district of House Republican leader John Boehner enjoy this level of affluence."

Also if you'd notice.  Obama is trying to pass a law that caps how much money someone can donate to charity and get deductions.  He wants to stop people from donating to charity because he'd rather the government have that money.  He's actually basically stealing from charities.

Which political party backed the union folk in the days when there were the wars between the miners and the mine owners?

Heavens to Murgatoids.
