I don't think race has a big thing to do with it, I'd say it'd have more to do with economical reasons. It stands to reason that a larger percentage of immigrants will be living in less economically-developed areas, and are probably subject to low social-mobality.

Of course, there is a lower percentage of second/third/etc... generation immigrants and white people committing crimes simply because there are less of them living in terrible conditions.

I'd bet that the majority of white criminals are of a poor social and economical background.

In order to tackle crime correctly you need to sort out poor social mobility and have a greater distribution of wealth.
