I respect your opinion. For me, not being able to freely go back to a previous chapter without waiting those couple of minutes of HDD activity in MGS4 was infinitely worse. With a lesser game, it might have been a game breaker for me.
Frankly I think that a couple hiccups in an empty corridor or staircase in KZ2 are much less of a problem than the loading times of say HL2, regarded as a masterpiece of the genre.

Indeed, the Wii is the proof that a console can sell alot, its technical shortcomings notwithstanding. That doesn't mean that a single gamer can't recognize those shortcomings or take them into account when, say, choosing which version of a multiplatform game to buy. To this gamer disc swaps are an annoyance, console sales are irrelevant.
