Frankly, if Factor 5 sucks so bad on PS3, then they can go right ahead and make more games that suck on the Wii, and they won't cost 30 mil to make. They can make 4 games that suck for the price of one.

As I said before ...

From what I have read most of the reviewers seemed to feel that Lair was buggy, unpolished and incomplete which implies that (even though it had been delayed several times) the game was rushed out the door without being complete. Generally a project is rushed out the door because the publisher determines that further investment in the game will not bring a healthy return. In the case of Lair I suspect that Factor 5 didn't fully understand the scope of the project, incorrectly budgeted the project, lacked resources and mismanaged other resources leading to the (eventual) failure of the project.

I suspect that if Factor 5 started on Lair 2 with what they know from Lair (and capatalizing on what they have already produced with Lair) they could produce a far better game on the same timeline and budget; if they move over to Wii development, I suspect that the smaller scale of the project would enable them to produce a much better game.

Honestly, there are few developers who haven't produced at least one awful game ... and the difference between the best and worst developers is their ability to learn from their mistakes. I wouldn't discout Factor 5 yet.
