My friend was training one day, for the Vancouver Sun Run. He crossed a bridge, that was maybe 10 feet long. This was a wooden bridge, that had a kind of metal "mat" across it, so you could keep your grip. Think of it like a chain link fence lying horizontal across this bridge basically. He fell down, on this bridge while running, and the skin came off of his knees. You could see a good 4-5 cm of the bones of his knee cap. That was pretty gross.
