In Galaxy he basically destroyed and created a whole galaxy, so I think the question here is "If Mario or a G-d is the most powerful thing in the universe and creates whole galaxies and believes in nothing greater than himself, is he an atheist?"  Is G-d atheist?

All I can think of is on the simpsons when Homer visits got  a little plaque that says "I believe in me".
