The US Wii comes with one remote and one nunchuck. If you buy one more of each, and Galaxy, it would be $250 + $40 + $20 +$50 = $360, cheaper than the NES "Control Deck" package in 1985, and cheaper than the PS3 today. The NES was insanely priced at launch. They lowered the price several times though, and the last one, the superior toploading one with the SNES-styled dogbone controller, was launched at $50 in 1993.

@amp, I bought my Wii for Wii Sports. I may have bought several other games, but Wii Sports is the one that gets played the most in my house. Anybody who comes over wants to drink and play it for 5 hours. Everybody gets madly addicted to bowling and/or tennis and/or golf, although I have had 1 friend each get madly addicted to boxing and baseball.
