some ones covering their ass for their weak ass coding.

I'm getting sick of a lot of PS3 fans ...

Factor 5 has produced some of the most technically impressive games available on the N64, some of the most technically impressive games of the previous generation, and has (currently) produced one of the most technically impressive games on the PS3 and you claim that the real reason they had problems was "weak ass coding" ...

The fact of the matter is that Factor 5 is on the short list of developers you'd expect to be able to take full advantage of the PS3; the two other western developers I'd put on that list would be id and Epic games.

The one thing I can personally say is that everyone I know who has wrote distributed code before, and is comfortable with the concepts, has said that you would have problems ever approaching theoritical performance on the PS3 because of load balancing, memory bandwith, and the Cell processors' approach to parallalism is not (necessarily) well suited to existing algorithms in real time graphics. So far EA, Factor 5, and Epic have had problems getting their PS3 projects running up to the performance they desire, whilst John Carmack (id) has questioned the approach that Sony has taken with the Cell and you claim the issues are only "Weak ass coding"

Who do you expect to produce this magical code to make the PS3 perform well?
