Implementations of philosophical paradigms are gray. Those paradigms themselves are not.
For example, economic redistribution is a socialistic concept. It's not closer to socialism then not doing it. It IS socialistic.
Now, how that implemented is gray area, so for example our tax system is more socialistic then a flat tax.
That's an example of "X is socialistic", and "X is more socialistic then Y".
