Anyways, something nobody has brought up to that point is software sales. So many of you fanboys are claiming the ps3 is outselling the 360.
You do realize that sounds like fanboyism?
And how many games do those people buy? Many, many people buy ps3's primarily as a blu-ray player.
Software sales seem to suggest the average PS3 owner is a healthy games buyer. Taking the evidence of software sales with various 3rd parties claiming to earn more money on the PS3 than they earned on the 360 last year, IMO arguments like many PS3 owners only buy Blu-Ray movies or many PS3 owners only buy PS3 games (if it suits the argument) is getting old.
GTA IV for example according to Rockstar sold just as well on the PS3 as it did on the 360 despite the PS3's smaller install base at this point. Tomb Raider Underworld for example sold better on the PS3 despite its smaller install base, there are plenty of such examples.
IMO it's save to say the bulk of PS3 owners buy PS3 games, quite a few buy Blu-Ray movies in addition and maybe there are a few people here and there who don't care about gaming at all and use the PS3 only as a multi-media device.
