I haven't played either (still been playing ToV :P) but impressions from friends is that IU is just a mediocre game period. TLR is actually decent if you can look past the technical issues it has.

As far as ranking the other JRPG's on the 360 I agree with mrstickball and would put Eternal Sonata down on the list. I've played through it twice and after the charm of the beautiful graphics wears off it's a mediocre game in every way. I'm still rather perplexed in how it received some of the scores it did. It's my impression now that due to scheduling restrictions that most reviewers must only play the very early stages of long JRPG for their reviews.

ES would be mediocre if it was a PS2 generation game.  It would probably get the 76 Mrstick gave it.  It is exceptional IMO because the crop of next Gen RPGs is just so bad (outside of PC RPGs which own, the Witcher especially).  I mean if I took ES off the worth playing list only Tales and Star Ocean would be left (and SO4 is ALSO quite mediocre compared with the PS2 gen, and only seems pretty decent because every JRPG from the last few years outside of the Persona series is anything but an instant classic)

Compared with Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon and Enchanted Arm Eternal Sonata is golden.
