Why Sony is Surpassing Nintendo in Game Development?

This article was basically a trojan horse for Wii bashing. "Wii sucks, Nintendo must work on Wii, therefore Nintendo is diminished"

 

I still don't see what's so great about new IPs. There's a world of difference between long-running franchises that constantly evolve (like Mario and Zelda), and those that only boast incremental changes (like Fire Emblem). To say that it doesn't count because its a sequel throws all notions of gameplay out the window

 

That being said, Sony does have some strong development teams. Insomniac, Naughty Dog, and Team ICO are some of the best in the industry
