You lost me at "established criteria" being in the same sentence as "Metacritic score". Where's your proof that shovelware sells more on the Wii than any previous system? Surely you're not implying that the Wii series is shovelware? Regarding NMH, you have no proof of your statement whatsoever. Not all good games sell 1 million on the 360 either, you know?

Yeah, I know a lot of you seemingly like to throw out all review scores that don't support your view that Wii Sports, etc, aren't the greatest games ever made; however, I suspect you folks wouldn't be endorsing them as highly as you do if they weren't the best selling games on the system.
The Wii series is all shovelware imo designed to get people that have little to no experience with gaming interested in the Wii. But how can such people really know what makes a great game in comparison to the greatest games ever released? And there is a reason why these games are all based on the typical events of life and that is because they are sure to appeal to the masses while works that require more imagination and thus should be considered superior works of art aren't guaranteed to attract people who want to indulge in more mundane activities. Some of you people even go so far as to say Wii Sports is the greatest system seller ever; when Wii Sports is actually a worse system seller than Combat on the Atari 2600 and in no way comparable to SMB. Super Mario Brothers was responsible for all of the NES' early sales while Wii Sports only achieves the sales it is credited with since it is in the Wii box.
No More Heroes would have done much better on 360 or PS3 than the Wii and that is a given. And it isn't just poor sales for NMH look at any of the other great new core ip's on the Wii like Zack and Wiki or an established game like MP3 which still hasn't topped 2 million while a game like LBP on a system that doesn't even have half the Wii's userbase does.
If Madworld and / or The Conduit don't sell well while WSR does you will see even more party game and shovelware type programs released for the system instead and I do believe that will impact the Wii's sales worldwide as it already has in Japan.
Heavens to Murgatoids.
