Well, bias aside, the article has good points. How about leting your own personal bias out and try to see it?
Nintendo really rellies in its most acclaimed and famous IPs, and constantly release new iterations on the same basic principles. Its the truth. They evolved to some interesting point, but its there. Its Mario_________, Pokemon_________, and so on.
The so called new IPs (Wiifit,Wiidance, Wiising and others) are there to make money, by making you pay for hardware that will let you play said games. Heck WiiSports or whatever its called is in the dozens of millions of units sold....
So, because Nintendo is on the top, 'printing' money, they are absolutely free of loosing their development skills, by only going bundle, easy, funny, party games? They can do no wrong? Criticism on Nintendo means you're a fanboy for either MS or Sony?
Nintendo lost the lead to Sony in the midle of 90's because they thought like this. Sony lost the lead this gen because of the same reasons. See the trend?
So, as long as I get the money, the numbers, the bragging rights on the interwebs, I dont care I get more shovelware, play the basicaly re-rashed games that kept Nintendo afloat this past gen, its cool, right?
Flame away! The bias in the article was there, but because it was pro Sony, and against Nintendo, the NDF (yep...Nintendo Defense Force...pathetic I know..but it will work for now) is out to protect mighty Ninty, who could care less about this forum, its community, or its claims.
I am vaguely remembering why I stoped participating in forums when this gen beggan....too much blind fanboyism all around to try and have a fruitfull debate about how the companies could be better and so much "My ___________ (insert favorite console/company) is better and can do no wrong!" bs to diggest.
