That's a horrible if. I mean the reason the recievers couldn't hold onto the ball was badly thrown passes due to pressure on Young and good deep coverage. I mean, you might as well say if Manning hadn't been sacked twice it wouldn't have been close at all. A better if is: If the Colts had just run the damn ball in their last posession the Titans would never have had another possession.
As far as IND, they are always challenged within their division. The AFC South plays extremely well against each other. No matter how bad the Titans look against other teams, they are so familiar with the Colts that they will always play them well. However, I don't think there is any question as to whether the Colts are a playoff team or not this year. The Saints on the other hand...
