Maybe I exaggerated it a bit, he would be in my top 10 though. Somewhere low in the list.
Pit is the best overall for me.
EDIT: Also, Sonic can be considered the best to some people, it all comes to skill or something to that effect I guess. Hell, I've seen people who are really good as Jigglypuff. (In fact, I am man enough to admit Pichu is actually one of my best characters in Melee. Weird, isn't it?)
