Personally, I think our purpose is to choose and to influence our world. What you choose is up to you. My choice doesn't matter for the context of this thread. Obviously one of my choices has been to be successful, but I also choose to find the patterns and themes in everything, to learn how to switch between being extroverted and interverted at will, to understand why people do what they do and the causes behind everything. I would also say I am a strong Christian.
I believe that I should shape the world in a positive way according to fundamental principles of humanity, rather than just my morals as it is possible that my morals are not correct. I don't believe we specifically have to do anything. Other peoples choices (even dead people) influence our own choices, but ultimatly, we decide our own fate. Indecently, I believe God already knows what we have chosen, but doesn't decide for us.
People in war torn countries are still free to make choices. The difference for them is that other people's choices effectively limits their own choices.
