I rarely play through games more than once.  If someone expects me to pay $50-60 dollars, I need more than 5-6 hours and local multiplayer.  :-/

Modern action games must really not be your cup of tea altogether, eh?

What modern action games with no online multiplayer are also less than 8 hours?  I know there's Heavenly Sword but it's already well known I don't like that game.

Well there's th Devil May Cry games, Ninja Gaiden, God of War, God Hand....

Yeah, don't like DMC and god of War and never played the Ninja Gaiden series.  You're telling me those are all less than 8 hours though?  I don't seem to remember hearing people bitching about all those.

The thing about them is that they're all highly replayable, and the kind of person who really likes those games is going to try to beat them on higher difficulties, and unlock the dozens of extra missions in Ninja Gaiden Black, and what have you...

They end up extending the experience. They prescribe to the old arcade style of gameplay, where it's short but very intense and immensely replayable. I've beaten Ninja Gaiden Black something like four or five times, not including the 50 unlockable missions.
