1) Actually, SNES satelliteview was first. However, My point was the xbox made it mandatory for home consoles and everyone doesn't strive to copy Dreamcast's version, however, they do with xbox. 2) Everyone hates friendcodes, Wii isn't popular because of its online capabilities. It is popular due to specific games and motion. If the online was more like xbox live, Wii would be nearly perfect AND have many more core gamers loving it. Every core gamer / teen I know that has switched back to 360 or hardly touches their Wii has its online as the primary reason.

1) Yeah, but I meant that the DreamCast was the first console to do it without a peripheral. Either way, I don't really care about the "first on a console" argument, and still think the PC invented online gaming and still does it the best.
2) My point exactly. Online capabilities don't sell systems. They can be a deciding factor in a 360 vs. PS3 multiplat game purchasing decision, but in the long run, nobody cares enough. If you really care about online gaming, and you prefer a console, you've already opted out of the best online gaming experience.
