My first post in this thread clearly shows a semicircular bulge at the top of the controller where you would expect to see a micro USB socket or a [plugged in USB] cable. In the same post I linked to a gallery of images showing the controller it is most likely to be, with the semicircular bulge being most prominent. Do not take me for a fool.
And to adress your other point, I know it's a form of Dualshock, but Sony can't really claim for this. Game controllers are used in things like this all the time, sometimes even using actual first-party controllers.
Once again, this is a lot of fuss about nothing.
