Great list. There's one game that has no place in that list and it's the number three, but other than that there are very good choices. I'd have put Persona 4, but I can understand why they picked P3 as it's the big jump while P4 perfects an already perfect formula. And they picked a lot of games I'd have picked, so I have to give the list a thumbs up

My list:
1. Persona 4
2. Persona 3/FES
3. Suikoden V
4. Xenosaga Episode 3
5. Suikoden III
6. Star Ocean 3
7. Kingdom Hearts 2
8. Xenosaga Episode 1
9. Final Fantasy X
10. Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne

You like Suikoden V more then Suikoden III eh? Why is that? Was it because the former took a more traditional approach to the game?

No, while it's undeniable that SV was an homage to II in most senses, I loved the approach III took also, so that's not the factor. The difference between the two is that I felt the story and characters in V were among the best you can find in an RPG and superior to III (that had already very good characters and story). In fact, if V didn't have some camera problems and those frequents load times, I'd rank it even higher in my list, because in the story part it's flawless

All good points, the story was really well done and the load times were bothersome at first. I ended up getting used to them, but on the plus side when I went and played another RPG I thought "wow this loads fast", lol. I remember the IGN review (I think it was Jeremy Dunham) that said the story/characters were some of the best in recent memory, it just took a long time for it to get going. (he was right)

I think the worst part of Suikoden V was the voice for Lym, yikes, haha.
