In all fairness, looking at the pricetag of the 360 I am amazed it hasn't made the distance between itself and the PS3 much bigger. How many millions did the 360 have as a headstart again? 6 or 7 million?

The Wii is closing in on beating them combined though.

RROD and American console bias are one of the main reasons the 360 isn't far ahead of the PS3. Japan is for sure a no in that department, Europe is a toss up but America seems to be a stronghold because Americans are more open to various products than any other country in the world (in General).

It could also be argued that Americans are far more forgiving when it comes to hardware with high failure rates compared to the Europeans. Though when it comes to Japan I do agree it's more or less a given that every generation a Japanese console will dominate that region.

I agree with Branko. Americans are way more forgiving and American products orientated. Europeans simply look at the 360 as the console that fails a lot. Something which is MS's fault completely, they designed the 360 afterall. American cars which consume a lot of feul and break down a lot hardly sell here either.

As far as Japan goes, that's a totaly different market which does not fairly represent the western market.
