Allow me to finish your statements: 1...which is partially to blame for their currently horrid economic state. 2...It's not just about the games, it is the perception of the consoles ability to attract developers. I couldn't give two heated turds about FF13, but just the fact that it is coming to 360 impresses me and shows that Sony has weakened in the marketplace. 3...No, Sony absolutely can not throw money around like MS does. Given the current financial situation and given that Sony is losing BILLIONS, I would say 50 million means enough to them and their share holders to not be able to do these types of business manouvers. Sony will sink the Playstation before the Playstation sinks Sony. Have no illusions on that. |
Let me correct your statements.
1. Well, I guess Sony was in a "horrid" economic state when they were selling the PS1, PS2, and PSP at a loss, right?
2. So it's not about the games, but it's about attracting developers? Well, answer me this: What do developers do? In fact, I'll save you the trouble. They make games. So it's not just about the games, but getting companies that make games. Hrmm. Why do you write this again?
3. Apparently you don't understand the market. Right now, Microsoft is in dire straits as well. The economy is affecting everyone and they've even been forced to make layoffs. And yet they still pay for Xbox Live servers, developer support, game development, etc. Microsoft may be wealthy, but by your standards, $50 million would mean a lot to them as well. It's not like it's an insignificant amount of money. Rather, it's something that either company easily could have paid if they wanted to.
I'm not going to respond to the bajillion other people who quoted me because I just don't care and at this point, you're just flattering me. I know I'm amazing and controversial, but I just don't feel the same way about the rest of you.
