I know practically nothing about the original story other than its set in an alternative 1980s with masked heros/anti-heroes/superheroes.
I did quite like this movie. Sure its got many problems! eg. The ending feels rushed. WTF is that tiger thing at the end? Why does Rorschach's mask have those changing patterns? Extended sex scene in ship! 1 maybe 2 too many musical sequences.
There is an extended DVD/Bluray version to follow, 30 mins extra I think so maybe that will help with some of the story character elements or maybe it won't!
