$1000 Intel Core i7 965XE's inter-core bandwidth = 40,003MB/s (basically 40GB/s)...TOTAL bandwidth (cache+memory+inter-core) = 106,176MB/s (basically 106GB/s)

$400 PS3's Cell inter-core (EiB) bandwidth = 197GB/s (proven)

If that is true, my friend will be pissed. He spent 2000+ dollars on an uber gaming rig. He thinks he will be able to play PS3 emulators as soon as they pop up in a few years lol.

It is.  I provided the link.  The 2nd thing is that the Cell is an asynchronous processor (each core can perform completely separate tasks that are walled off from the rest of the processor).  The Intel Core i7 is not asynchronous.  That would complicate PS3 emulation, on a PC, even further.

How about you mention something on the cell that produces real world performance and doesn't top a graph you've seen over at SDF.  The PS3 couldn't produce Crysis, nuff said.
