The 360 version did seem a little too dark to me. I had to increase the in game brightness for the mine and tanker levels. I suppose the darkness was there to create a fearful environment, but I like seeing details.
The first level of the game is amazing. It has the best character models and environments. For example the vegetation all have their own realistic 3-D models that have blades of grass and leaves that sway individually with the wind.
I was blown away with this game from the start. Great addition to the RE series.
