The main thing that will make the PS4 cost more then 200 dollars would be the graphics card. My bet is like 299-399. I doubt they will go with different versions. And if they use a beefed up cell, the BC would be very easy for them. They could even stick an RSX in there for next to nothing and do a pure hardware emulation if it was needed.

The Cell processor has yet to demonstrate a real world performance advantage over the XBox 360's CPU, and the XBox 360's CPU was very similar in performance to a mid-range gaming PC of 2005. In the past 4 years CPUs have continued to increase in performance quite dramatically, and even the untra low cost and low energy consumption Intel Atom processors are rapidly approaching the performance of the Cell processor.

 

Well as far as I know, It has more cores(7) It can do certain things faster then normal computers. I am not sure of all the information about computers and how everything works, But I know people have said its stronger then most computers.

 

Also for games not showing it off, thats the devs fault not the machines fault. Sony should have put out some better dev kits from the start.
