And if they use a beefed up cell, the BC would be very easy for them. They could even stick an RSX in there for next to nothing and do a pure hardware emulation if it was needed. |
You may think it but that doesn't make it true ...
The Cell processor has yet to demonstrate a real world performance advantage over the XBox 360's CPU, and the XBox 360's CPU was very similar in performance to a mid-range gaming PC of 2005. In the past 4 years CPUs have continued to increase in performance quite dramatically, and even the untra low cost and low energy consumption Intel Atom processors are rapidly approaching the performance of the Cell processor.
