Copy + pasting my "guide":

Use the checkpoint system, if you're not doing well, just quit game and get back and choose restart from last checkpoint.

Make sure you got at least 20 kills at the time that dude screams "KAMIKAZIS!", and at least 40 when you're down in the water, if not, do what i said above.

I got 54 ;)

 

This guide helped a few people already :)

Plus, getting the online trophy for first place is not hard if you know where to find the death card. It will give you 500 points, and with a good multiplayer, it will give you a very good advantage

I didn't even know about the death card.

Getting first in competitive coop wasn't hard, the hardest part was getting 4 players together ( I had 3 games in a row where a player dropped at the start and I finished first ). My scores started to noticeably improve when I started to be more carefull and die less...

If you are struggling to be ahead for points, do coop on Little Resistance and as soon as you reach the area where you have to call rocket strikes on the 2 tanks call a strike on all the Japanese you see in front of the tanks, that will score you like 6k points....

 

 

Yeah, i keep forgetting, this is the real problem, i struggled to get 4 players too :P
