This is totaly opinion based, man. I like JRPGs more than other genres, so guess what? PS1 > PS2 for me. And SNES > Both.

If your point was just that 360's library is more diverse than that of the Ps2's, you are also wrong. To say such a thing you are either very young, started playing this generation, are a ridiculously high Microsoft fanboy, or a combination of the 3.

There were crazy cult games on the PS2, there were high budgeted ones, there were some indie ones, sports, shooters, RPGs, you name it... I mean Katamari Damacy was on PS2, as well as GTA SA. That just says something.

Diversity = quality?

Anyway, for someone who starts gaming now the PS2 games may be extremely terrible no matter the value that you give them. They don't play as well, they can have much poorer frame-rates, they don't look nearly as good on a 53" HDTV and these are pretty much as objective as you can get for a subjective comparison.

Did Squilliam just quoted me? I feel important.

I get that starting gaming this gen makes everything about graphics and framerates, and I know that for PC snobs it has always been like this, but try to see things from my point of view for a second... frame rates were never an issue for me, my favorite console is the SNES, JRPGs are my favorite genre. The stuff I say will always come from a person who forgives almost every flaw in a game if the story is good.
