a true technical achievement using new techniques or improving techniques already available is to make something that stands out from its peers and is thought unaccomplishable an example might be say people saying that a version of quake was impossible on ps1 only for some one to make not quake but the even better quake 2 on said console that to me is technical skill or some one coming up with new techniques to say make crysis not just look good but play and look as great on the hd consoles as it does on a high end pc
