Why An FF7 Remake Wouldn't Be A PS3 Exclusive (Flame Shields At the ready)!

There is no chance that a FF7 remake would appear on the 360 ,just like FF13.................hold on somethings not right.......

 

 

Final Fantasy 13 isn't out yet.

Final Fantasy 7, is.. And what a suprise, it was on PlayStation.. The chances of it being an exclusive, since it was on the PS1, is very high.

 

 

Just had to debunk two things. Firstly, FF1-6 were released on Nintendo systems and later re-released/remade on non-Nintendo systems.  Thus going by history the chances of it being an exclusive are very small.

I do really think that Sony owns the rights or Square feels they are in debt to Sony and need to release them on the PS brand. I mean if not then why would they put Crisis Core on the PSP? Surely it would've sold more on the DS..

Because they've released all FFVII games on the PS brand. As I said Crisis Core would've probably sold more on the DS, so why did SE make it for the PSP?

 

Just as an example, Kingdom Hearts universe isn't exclusive to a single company.

 

I really like this thought: "There's really only one chance left: if Square-Enix dives fully into the as-yet-untapped capabilities of the PS3 and opts to focus entirely on that piece of hardware for the remake. There's even the remote possibility that they began working on the idea some time ago, with only the PS3 in mind. If you want to entertain this train of thought, feel free." Square-Enix is going to devote more to a FFVII remake(by making it impossible to port to 360) than they are on the current biggest project of FFXIII.

I don't think a remake is on the horizon at this time.  Like others I think that IF we do see one, it will be on a system/handheld yet to be released.
