I agree but one should note that to own a Sega CD you had to have a sega genesis so Sega CD was an add on that offered things that genesis couldn't. It wasn't meant as a standalone console.
With that in mind, even as a standalone console Sega CD had a diverse library. RPGs, Fighting, Sports, Racing, Platforming, Shooter...there was a good game or 2 in every category. Not to mention experiences that you couldn't do at the time on snes and genesis like Snatcher and Slipheed.
