If FFVI made in 3D for PS1, would FFVII still get so much recognition? I personally think that most of FFVII's fanbase was created on people either playing FF for the first time or playing a 3D FF for the first time. Are graphics the main part of its popularity?
(I'm not saying FFVII is a bad game btw, just asking since I know a lot of people here prefer VI)
