Utter lack of knowledge on the issue of history i see you have. Anyway not worth going off on a tangent.
With out going into politics, RRoD did one heap of damage in Europe, i think that's the main reason MS didn't do well until the price cut put it under the Wii. As im in the UK i dont feel qualified to talk about Japan
