I used to own a Wii with a Wii-key chip installed.
A broader question would be whether or not you've had a console modded to play backups as the 360 only needs its DVD ROM's firmware flashed, a similar thing for the PSP, and flash cart(I think that's what it's called) for the DS and the PS2 had some software where you upload games onto your PS2 HDD (can't remember the name).
