I don't think the "10 year strategy" is being used as a defense right now because of a lack of games. Sony went on record way back in 2005 stating that they planned a 10 year lifetime for the PS3.

That is true, I am not saying they made up the 10 year strategy to defend the lack of games, but they are using it as a defense as to why 1.) Why there is a lack of very high quality games and 2.) why there seems to be little in the way of graphical difference between 360 and PS3 versions of games
