turn it into a 3D Shooter!
Every character with unique abilities, when your about to kill someone u can perform a fatality...
sounds silly i know...
Duke3D was awesome with the Freeze gun, with the Shrinker gun, the expander, etc...
Unreal Championship had fatalities, you were able to play Raiden, by doing certain button combos you could perform special abilities like electricity, run fast, invisibility, etc
Sure its taking Mortal Kombat a whole other direction, but sounds cool to me
