9. Comic Book Fanboy

These kids have come out of the woodwork since, in the last decade or so, every comic book ever is getting a movie. I bet you can’t count on your adamantium claws the number of times you’ve heard, “Oh, I read that book for at least 10 years before the movie ever came out,” followed by some snide remark about the original artwork or plotline being butchered.

Form Battle Cry: Worst ____ Ever.

First, I don't think I've said or any of my comic reading friends have said "Worst _____ Ever!",

The come out the woodwork thing has only been a coincidence at best, first real superhero film (and one to attract the most fanboys) was X-men in 2000 but internet forums had only just started up then so just well timed. I've never said that I've read a book before the movie as not one of the movies (other then Sin City so far really) have been a direct adaption, they are not even butcherised versions, just the same characters and ideas mostly. Although still entertaining.

Comic book fans are excited that comics are finally getting the recognition they deserve but at the expensive of mass marketing to mainstream movie going audience. Some of the things they did in X-men 3 were an insult, it was sickening. Like they didn't care what they were doing or writing and didn't even read the source material.

Agree on the Mac fanboys thing though. :P

Hmm, pie.
