Actually I am not dissing the Nintendo Wii in any way, like I stated in the article I really like the device. Many months before the Wii's release I have stated that I like the approach they have taken with regard to motion sensitive gaming, this at a time most others were really sceptical towards Nintendo's latest console.
The only reason why I excluded comparing the Wii directly is because it's a very different device, just like if I would have compared the PS3 with a cheaper PS2 (actually even more so!). The differences are too large to make a direct comparison from a technical perspective, it wouldn't be like comparing apples and oranges. IMO it's more like a banana.
