d21lewis said: Really, why are we here? My Grandmother was the most beloved person I've ever known. She died six years ago. I carry her memory in my heart, but nobody even remembers her anymore. My own child won't feel any sort of connection to her. What was her life for? There are men who were great war heroes, successful entrepreneurs, even presidents and world leaders. People who have their names on park benches or street signs. Nobody remembers them. No matter how great we strive to be, no matter how much we accumulate, or how many lives we touch, in the grand scheme of the universe, does any of it really matter? Does it matter what kind of car we drove, how many girlfriends we had, how high our gamerscore is, or whether we eat chicken or fish for dinner? What is the purpose? |
The purpose is for you to enjoy it as much as possilbe while you are still here.
