Best system for JRPGs: SNES or PSX?

Sony released the PLAYSTATION, and then they redesigned to the PSOne, both names by Sony Computer Entertainment, the real authority for their consoles...

PSX is a special DVR that plays PS2 and PSOne games...

If you want to say PSX that's fine, i'll say PS1 and that's fine too, but neither one of those is official...

 

Of course! No, that was just one example, but there are many more. Of course I wouldn't expect websites to choose ps1 when there was no PS2 or 3 yet, but many DID choose psx over ps. As you said, neither ps1 nor psx is official, so everyone can continue to refer to it informally either way they choose.

I was merely respsonding to Tremble asking everyone not to call it PSX. As there are no games exclusive to the actual PSX, I don't believe there will be any confusion.
