FF 7 and 8, got me truely into jrpgs, i could add all of them, but since these two were my first (and 9) ill add them
Halo got me into shooters, had never done that before.

Overall
I pick The first final fantasys, they hit me really emotionally, and truely got me itno a huge jrpg fan (its the single reason why i will def be picking up a ps3, long as ff 13 stays exclusive, which it should....)
With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.
