Kwaad said: Your right. People cant hook up TVs. But it's easier to hook up a PS3 than it is a Wii. Why? Plug wire into PS3/Wii. For the Wii, you now plug 3 color coded wires... into the proper plugs. For the PS3, Plug... the... one plug... into the only thing on the TV that will take it.
THe Wii would have the biggest problems with this, becuase it is aimed at NON-gamers. 90 year old grandmas, 5 year old children, and their incopetent mothers. The PS3 is aimed at technology savvy people. (I can build a entire computer from being in packaging to running a game in about 8 hours) |
Dude you are actually ALLwrong, both the Wii and the PS3 come with the SAME cable in the box... for someone to know that they need to plug in the one... plug... in they would first know that they need to PURCHASE that cable in order to do that...
Albiet, I think most people buying PS3's at the moment wouldn't be in this sort of situation because I think the more technology educated people are people buying the PS3 at the moment, so it is all a bit mute...
Plugging in one cable to yr hd set top box, what if you want to output the sound to your receiver? At the PS3 launch night at one of my local store the tech staff were having a DAMN lot of trouble outputting HDMI and sound of a different sort so they could run the sound through not the speakers on the TV, but the speakers attached to the amp for surround sound.
The problem with your argument against the Wii is also mute because the system that these people are using to hook up their Wii's is the yellow, red, white plugs... this caused trouble for consumers during the SNES, N64 and mildly some during the GameCube generation, plugging the yellow in the yellow, white in the white, red in the red, has become common practice for most of these people now and very few people ask how to do this any mor.
