what did ff12 do that was new?  it brought mmo gaming to ff's.  big whoop.  it also was less fun and less exciting than the rest of the series.

ff12 is potentially the most solid game i have ever played, there are very few faults with the game that arent purely subjective.  but it does like nothing new and nothing is really above solid.

 

FFXII basically deviated from previous games in the series as well as JRPGs in general by its battle system and the fact that you aren't force to follow the main story and are allow to explore pretty much anywhere in the game a couple of hours in the game.
