Think about it. Hypothetically, lets say that Super Mario Kart influnced every racing game that came out after it. Therefore, Super Mario Bros, which influenced Super Mario Kart since it is based on the same cast, would have influenced every game that Super Mario Kart influenced. Therefore it would have been more influential.
