Oddly, I kind of believe that "split screen is last gen" may be the general consensus, maybe the gain is superficial... but someone already pointed out that 8 of the top 10 Wii games have it and 7 of the top 10 360 games have it... so maybe not.
Maybe games without it take themselves too seriously... I wonder how shooters became so popular before online though... never mind golden eye was all.
