slightly more on-topic: There was just a post on kotaku with a response of sorts from Microsoft, claiming that they're looking into ways to allow gamers to express themselves but without offending others ... or something to that tune:

While this is true, I sympathize with Microsoft not wanting to let Live be turned into some kind of dating service.
